SoulTether Becomes Briarmoth
For four years SoulTether was the foundation of my business, and for 15 years my reading services have been my touchpoint. I have only offered my services as a professional reader and teacher of the craft until now. In my personal life and professional life numerous immense transformations have taken place. My services and knowledge as a Witch became more in demand as the years have gone by, my spirits asked me to step up and out, I was initiated in a mystery tradition, relationships formed and ended, people died and people were born. In all that time between the heartbreak, the breakdowns and the incredible euphoria of touching lives in ways that held positive impact - something stirred deep in the core of my heart on fire. Past the thorns deep down amid the very heartbeat of my witchcraft, a desire was re-ignited and a call was echoed “it is time, the wait must end”. The truth is this transformation of SoulTether occurred long before this moment. I knew SoulTether was being reborn, I knew it to be as real as the tower card implies. I had also changed. I began researching and developing ready enchanted spell candles that I could put on shelves and in stores, using methods and power I could stand behind and other exciting things. I wanted to supply products I felt my clients needed. I wanted to be 100 percent sure everything is created well and of the highest quality.
I wanted to know exactly what I was providing them, all the details. From how it was made, what magickal practice is behind the product, if it matched my ethics and of course if it worked! The only way I felt this would be ethical and soaked in integrity, was to do it myself. To give it my all. This way the integrity and truth my clients know me to have would also be extended in the products I recommend. The truth is, so much more is needed than just readings and I felt there was too much noise in the industry of witchcraft, and that more authentic real traditional and true representation was needed. I have received requests over these many years on ways to protect, purify and empower people through magick and though my processes are technical and methodical I realised a need from the people I care for, my beloved clients, the wild-hearted, truth-seeking ready-to-break open ones. A need that fed the fire that has now been born.
The desire for effective witchery as people remember the old ways or perhaps fall in love with it for the first time.
Briarmoth is a story and a prayer. It represents hope, action, desire, truth, love, wisdom. Briarmoth is the coming home to self and lighting the beacons that others who hold these values may also be guided home.
And so I unveil to you my promise and my gifts. Hope is not lost, real magick is alive. It can change you, transform everything and with it, as my dear friend and incredible teacher Fio Gede Parma once said - comes “the holy risk’. Though my practice is kept secret as I hold my oaths of honoring traditions and protecting these mysteries, I do of course make the power of my spellwork reachable to those whose heart is true, through that which I weave for purchase of enchanted candles etc, and through service.
Though I would never sell of my traditions, I am inherently touched by these currents and so all my magick is distilled through the redness of all I create.
I have worked in numerous locations under many roofs and I can say there are many real and ethical practitioners offering authentic and informed products and services, but there is also a great deal who are not. Just as the moth deep in the briar seeks the wisdom of the moon only to find the light was within all along, I have discovered relationships and respect is not always well represented from the outside. Briarmoth is a way for me to cut through the misinformation, lack of authenticity, and snake oil production methods of the few deceptive ones and provide a way for the wild-hearted to access true magick, in a way that better respects, traditions, cultures, people, the lands we live on and the planet.
Here I make everything from scratch. Where required, I mention the names of contributors whether that is the person who hand weaves the fibers of the threads I use in a protection charm or the name of who has taught me a method I offer. I believe in my community and where I can lift them and collaborate, I do so as they also have lifted me. The weaving of all spells is performed by me, Ardwen Briarheart. A witch has many names, and I have used them as spells. You may have seen me under a different title and wondered why I am not known as you have known me. These mysteries are ways a witch walks through the worlds. All are me in reality. The one you meet today is no less real than the name you knew me by years ago. Ardwen is the name unveiled and Briarmoth is the spell that echoes my mission and my hopes for you.
May Briarmoth represent hope and truth for you. I am excited for all we will do together - with relentless integrity and unwavering authenticity.
